4But both the presenters and the supporter were caught off-guard when a man in dark clothing appeared behind Taff’s shoulder.
The prankster faced away from the camera before pulling his trousers down in full view of the live broadcast.
Gomersall, 54, immediately stepped in to take control, apologising profusely and bringing the interview to a swift close.
When the prankster appeared on camera, she intervened to say: “Do we want to come off that screen a bit, we don’t need to be seeing something like that, I can only apologise.”
She then wrapped things up, adding: “Taff I’m going to leave you there because we just don’t wanna have things like that.
“If I can apologise to anyone watching at home that might have been offended by that, I certainly was.
“Apologies for that, unfortunately we do get some idiots like that when we are doing a live show.”
While Gomersall was clearly mortified at the strange incident, fans on social media found it hilarious.
4One fan commented on TikTok: “The game is so back.”
Another joked: “The cheek of him.”
While a third fan labelled it “the best thing that has happened on Sky sports for years.”
While his co-host attempted to stay professional, Bothroyd was struggling to contain his reaction and appeared to be holding back laughter.
The former Coventry, Cardiff and Wolves forward, 43, cracked a wry smile as the pair processed the odd scene.
Fans quickly caught on, with one joking: “Jay is really trying his best to hold it in.”
Another added: “He is definitely wanting to laugh his head off.”
