CRISTIANO Ronaldo has launched an astonishing attack on the world’s media as his former girlfriend Irina Shayk spoke out about those Sepp Blatter romance rumours.
The Real Madrid star has been dogged by reports he cheated on Shayk during their five-year relationship and more recently has been dating Italian model Alessia Tedeschi.
But in a new video shared on Twitter, the Portuguese player blasted the media for trying to “damage his reputation”.
Football star Cristiano Ronaldo has hit out at the media.
“I never spoke for the press, I never speak about my private life,” a half-naked Ronaldo said to the media from a deck chair.
“But I wanted this opportunity to say the last couple of weeks the press try to say trash about me. That I have new girlfriends, day by day I have new girlfriends. That I do this, that I do that — just leave me alone.
“Let me do my work properly like I do it every year. Don’t try to damage my image, cause it’s not going to happen.”

Ronaldo’s rumoured latest girlfriend Alessia Tedeschi.
His scathing comments come after his side missed out on a Champions League final place to Juventus.
The 30-year-old has since lost out on the La Liga title to rivals Barcelona.
Shayk, meanwhile, has been unwittingly dragged into the latest FIFA scandal after Spanish newspaper El Mundo reported she once dated disgraced FIFA president Sepp Blatter.
In a piece titled “All the women in Blatter’s life”, Berlin-based reporter Rosalia Sanchez said she was told by a “Swiss source” the pair had a relationship at some point in the past decade.
Irina Shayk and Cristiano Ronaldo split in January after five years together.
But a spokesman for the Russian beauty, who is now dating American actor Bradley Cooper, has adamantly denied the claim.
“The rumours regarding an alleged romantic and/or personal affair with Sepp Blatter by El Mundo … are a pathetic attempt at defaming Ms Shayk and are absolutely not true. We have no intentions of further acknowledging these allegations as they are wholly unfounded,” the rep told The New York Post.
Blatter announced his resignation as FIFA president this week after the organisation was plunged into crisis by a US corruption investigation.
