But Samantha Barks certainly wasn’t feeling the chill as she soaked up the sun at the Paradis Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa in Mauritius on Thursday.

The actress, 31, looked incredible as she slipped into a plunging black bikini while enjoying a well-earned break with her fiancé, American actor Alex Stoll.

The Les Miserables star got into the tropical spirit by putting yellow flowers in her hair as she lapped up the sunshine on the Indian Ocean island.

Alongside the images, she wrote on her Instagram page: ‘Before you came into my life, everything was black and white now all I see is colour.’

The actress shared a rare shot of her husband-to-be, whom she met while appearing in Pretty Woman on Broadway, reclining shirtless on a palm tree as the couple enjoyed a day of relaxation.

The theatre star seemed to be in a playful mood and later uploaded a short video clip as she jumped around her hotel room while wearing a one shoulder blue bikini top and blue and white striped high-waist bottoms.

Samantha and Alex announced their engagement in February 2021 after first meeting when she played the lead in Pretty Woman on Broadway in 2018.

Samantha first hit the scene in the BBC talent show I’d Do Anything in 2008, and went on to play Éponine in the West End, which she reprised in the 2012 Oscar-winning movie of the same name.

The star has had several high-profile romances during her time in the public eye.

The actress was in a relationship with fellow actor Jack Fox, the younger brother of Laurence Fox, in 2016 but the couple split a year later.

Samantha also dated former Coronation Street star Richard Fleeshman in 2013 for a year.

The couple even lived together, but their busy schedules drove them apart and they split in December 2014.

Prior to Richard, Samantha dated male model David Gandy for five months before splitting in October 2013.

She was also linked to TV presenter Matt Johnson between 2012 and 2013 and pop star Nick Jonas from 2010 to 2011.
