Every actor has done one of those before they were famous jobs that they’d much rather the world forget about.
The Hunger Games star Alan Ritchson is no different, only his is a little bit less clothed than usual.
The actor who plays Gloss in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire used to be a nearly-naked underwear model.
He whipped out his abs and posed in bits of cloth that really have no business calling themselves ‘underwear’.
But far from being embarrassed about his nearly exposing Little Alan to the world and his wife, he says it helped him when filming Catching Fire in those skin-tight bodysuits.
“For me, I’d walk out in a thong thinking, ‘I’m in costume,’” the actor who played Aquaman in Smallville told E! News about his nearly-naked modelling experience.
“It’s like, ‘Hey, I’m ready for the death scene,’ and they’d be like, ‘Uh, we can see part of your crotch.’”

Ritchson – who is currently filming the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot alongside Megan Fox – also spoke about how he took modelling jobs to support himself.
“I am going to work as a model, great,” he told TheBacklot.com. “There would be jobs that I take to pay the bills and support me and feed me. There are many times when it was so lean that I could barely eat.”
But he’s still proud of the naked work he did: “The work that I did, I mean, I am not ashamed of. I’m very proud of the work that I did. The work for N2N, this is a male lingerie line.
“A lot of people don’t understand that. I mean that’s what I did. I advertised products and I think I did that to the best of my ability.”
Yes. Yes you did and we are all VERY grateful.
“The problem is when it’s taken out of that context of time and place it then looks like something almost comical,” he added.
