Dark comedy Twinless, starring Dylan O’Brien and writer/ director James Sweeney, features a gay sex scene with the Teen Wolf star topping – and getting his nipples pinched.

Before we start this article, we’d like to offer our congratulations to James Sweeney for writing himself into and directing Twinless, in which he stars opposite Dylan O’Brien, and repeatedly has sex with him.

And alongside a toe-sucking scene (that O’Brien “scrubbed away” before for his scene partner’s convenience), the majority of online chatter on Twinless since its official digital release has focused on some pretty graphic scenes of O’Brien and Sweeney getting it on. Like, really on.

These sex scenes did leak after Twinless‘s January 2025 Sundance Film Festival premiere – but now that the film is out there officially, X is awash with clips of O’Brien taking Sweeney to pound town.

“Pinch my nipple,” O’Brien’s Roman tells Sweeney’s Dennis, after the two characters form an unlikely connection, having met at a support group for twinless twins.

“Ok damn this [scene just] got me feeling a little freaky for Dylan O’Brien,” one fan wrote above a gif of O’Brien topping Sweeney – which we can’t embed for obvious reasons.

“Oh to be gay kissing Dylan O’Brien,” another joked.

For the curious amongst you, a simple search of Dylan O’Brien on X should yield full length clips of the actual Twinless sex scene.

Sweeney previously addressed those spreading the leaked scenes, telling them: “On one hand… all press is good press, and you hope [the online discussion] garners goodwill and awareness of the project, and that it incentivises people to show up and then see the film in theaters — especially for all those perverts.

“But in a macro sense, it is troubling. It feels like maybe there is an entitlement for modern audiences that everything needs to be immediately available to them and that they have the right to exploit images and art however they see fit. So I really don’t know.”

The out gay director added that he “lost sleep over” the leak. Twinless also stars Abbott Elementary‘s Chris Perfetti, Lauren Graham, Tasha Smith, François Arnaud, Susan Park and Cree Cicchino.
