Outlander star Sam Heughan’s X-rated gift from fan as he describes strange presents
The actor said a crocheted modesty sock he received from a fan was ‘very, very nice’.

Outlander star Sam Heughan has revealed how obsessed fans have sent him weird gifts, with a crocheted modesty sock among the strangest ones.
The actor, who plays Highland warrior Jamie Fraser during the Jacobite rising, said he and co-star Caitriona Balfe have received a wide but bizarre array of items.
Heughan, 40, from Balmaclellan, Dumfriesshire, said: “I received lots of Easter eggs. My fan are amazing, they are so supportive.
“They always send us presents, myself and my co-star.
“A whole variety of things as well. Whenever we mention we like things, they will send us stuff.
“So I’ve had some very weird and random things sent to me.
“I’ve had a crate of avocados sent to me. I’ve had all sorts of peanut butter, I’ve had blankets that have got my face on it that have been knitted by people.
“I had what we call a modesty pouch, or a c**k sock basically, which is something I have to wear during our intimate scenes.
And I had someone who had handmade me one – they crocheted it. I thought that was very, very nice.”
The star made the comments while speaking on The Cultural Coven podcast.
Outlander premiered in 2014 and a lot of its filming is done in Scotland – on location at historic sites and in studios in Cumbernauld.

Former World War II combat nurse Claire Randall, played by Balfe, goes back in time to the Jacobite rising in 1743, where she meets Heughan’s character Jamie.
The show, based on the novels by US author Diana Gabaldon, has been a success for the Starz network and is now on its sixth series.
The Sunday Mail has previously revealed how a fraudster posing as the Outlander star had been targeting his fans across North America.
We told how multiple women had been tricked into thinking they were speaking to the actor and some were conned out of their life savings.
One woman was duped into sending £34,000 after being told the money would be invested in Heughan’s whisky brand Sassenach Spirits.
Another woman, from Florida, handed over £36,500 while believing she was in a relationship with the actor.
Heughan has taken to social media in the past to warn fans against scams by con artists.
